Due to years of exercise, exasperated by four babies and poor body alignment, I exhausted my body. Over the past five years, I underwent many non-invasive procedures to reduce pain and continued an active lifestyle. Finally last year in 2014, I succumbed to take drastic steps and underwent surgeries for my patella to fix my knee and rotator cuff to repair my shoulder. I figured out the surgeries could extend the mechanical usage of my body parts but I was aware that I needed to change habits and master new routines in order to stall aging erosions and avoid any further injuries. My aim is to be able to do things I love with my family, such as skiing, hiking, tennis & kayaking.
I was referred highly to Nelson and to my delight, it’s been a fun, refreshing, and challenging experience. The initial sessions were focused on releasing tight muscles to reduceand eliminate pain. I was particularly dejected due to chronic sciatic nerve pain at the beginning but Nelson has been very diligent in his quest to help me move pain-free quickly. Recent sessions are more rigorous with me breaking out a sweat and catching my breath. Nelson’s presence, vision, and mastery of his art are inspirational. It’s impressive how well he listens to me and my body; how creative he devises exercises for me; how meticulous he guides me through the sets; and how funny he is as he quips and sings me to create new habits.
Over this past year, amazing Nelson has kept me smiling and on my toes every single session. As a ‘nerd’, I appreciate how he will also inevitablyimpartpeals of knowledge on how to better gain strength, flexibility and balance. Even when I’ve been delinquent due to travels and a overcommitted schedules, Nelson is ever-ready with his positive, kind and patient smile to support me. With his unflagging commitment, I am continuing to build a body and attitude to live a healthy active life style for years to come. Thank you Nelson!
