I have always enjoyed sports and have been active and athletic since young. I used to weigh 53kg before my pregnancy. I put on 18kg after I got pregnant and after my delivery of my baby boy in late Jul 2015, I was still left with about 13kg weight gain from my original weight. I also could not squat down and I had difficulty standing up after sitting down on the floor after my delivery. My kneecap felt tight and I was having very bad water retention. My whole body and face looked swollen as well. I consulted a doctor and all he could tell me was that I just put on a lot of weight so I needed some time to exercise and reduce my weight.The last straw came when a friend asked if I just got pregnant again during my baby boy’s full month celebration. I just knew I got to do something about it.

 

Back in Year 2011, after I delivered my eldest daughter, I was recommended to Nelson Chong by my husband for weight loss and pain rehab for my shoulder. I was back to my original desired weight within 6 months through Nelson. As such, I knew that I could achieve the same effective result if I returned back to FTI for my personal training. Nelson introduced me to Ralph this time, who is a senior trainer with FTI.

 

I started my training with Ralph on 22nd Sep 2015, 6 weeks after my delivery. My weight was 65.3kg then with a fat mass of 20.7kg. Due to my pregnancy, it also altered my shoulderand my hip posture. In the first 3 sessions, Ralph taught me the importance of doing proper stretching and conditioning and eating correctly before I start on my exercise regime so that I can achieve the most effective results later on without compromising on my health and getting injured during the training.

Being very focused on my goals, I followed his instructions conscientiously. On days where I do not have PT, I trained on my own doing at least half hour of cardio exercises or HIIT. As I do not enjoy running, Ralph also customised the training workout for me on what I could do on days when I am training on my own.

 

After 2 weeks, I felt a lot more energetic and more flexible and I could squat and stand up normally again. My core muscles and endurance also improved which allows me to do more challenging exercises. I have also lost weight. In fact, I was very delighted to see that I am losing almost 1kg a week since I started training under Ralph.

 

I have been training for almost 2 months now since starting my training on 22 Sep 2015. My last body assessment was done on 20th Nov 2015, 2 days short of 2 months coming to FTI. And the results is simply amazing!

What I enjoyed most about the training is that the training is being built up gradually to cater to my fitness level. The training program is always at a gradual pace where my body is able to take it. Ralph is also very encouraging and he takes the effort to send me messages to check on my progress every 2 days.

And the best part is that I do not have to take slimming pills to see the results as I am very concerned about the adverse effects it may bring to my body.

 

My ideal weight is 53kg and to be able to wear a nice bikini for my next resort holiday with my family.
